Low dose DXM as a nootropic?

Original post in this thread

I've been wondering about this for a while. I understand there are benefits and drawbacks to frequent DXM use including potential language issues and derealization. I've tried low dose before but not over an extended period of time but I did notice a large boost in mood and motivation. DXM is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor as well as a decent anti depressant but isn't very well understood obviously since studies on it are only primarily focused on it's anti-tussive properties.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experience with DXM as a noot?

Yeah exactly Mr.

Just a question, since you mentioned a dosing protocol: did you mean 30-60mgs a day for a week or 30-60mgs once a week?

...also, if I can, since I just have another question post in other subs: do you consider that a safe dosage for someone on 10mg/d escitalopram? (To not reach serotonin syndrome)

30-60mg daily for a week. I would not mix SSRIs. So I would not feel comfortable saying DXM and escitalopram together would be safe.

You need to start tapering off it now! You are not using it properly, and are going to cause yourself harm. Tianeptine is hard on the liver at those dosages. It is not meant to be taken at 650mg/day. Your usage is irresp
