What is /r/Nootropics opinion on IQ?

I scored quite high as a child on an IQ test given to me. Somewhere in the 140s. I've been thinking about retesting, but I'm afraid the score will be lower and my ego will suffer. What are your thoughts on the value of an IQ score?

Unless he's an overconfident prick who really cares about his IQ and likes to brag about it...

Not saying you are OP, but I've known too many people like that. If you are too dumb to not keep your IQ to yourself, then your IQ really isn't important at all.

That does not sound like OP. He seems more worried that he will get a lower score, and then not feel as smart. At least that is the vibe I got. An over-confident prick could just lie about it. They wouldn't even need to take the test.

In other news, I just got a score of 160!
