What is /r/Nootropics opinion on IQ?

I scored quite high as a child on an IQ test given to me. Somewhere in the 140s. I've been thinking about retesting, but I'm afraid the score will be lower and my ego will suffer. What are your thoughts on the value of an IQ score?

Exact same reasoning I give my co-worker when he gives me a hard time about refusing to take an IQ test. What value is there in knowing your IQ score?

Other than self curiosity, not much. People that want others to take it, just want to compare it to theirs. It's like a mental dick measuring contest. Just like a dick, it's not the size/number that counts, it's what you do with it.
