Trying Nicotine as a Nootropic

My favorite nootropic, caffeine, really has not been doing it for me lately. I guess my tolerance has gotten too high. Soon I will try to get it back to normal by going a few days without it. However, I have been reading up on the use of nicotine and a nootropic. I've decided to give it a try. I just purchased a pack of 2mg Nicorette from CVS, and am heading to the library to study. I will let you know how it goes. I also will try to update regularly as I use the remaining 19 pieces in the pack.
EDIT: The first "session" was overall very productive. I've been at the library for about 2 hours, and feel like I could continue, but unfortunately, it closes at 9. I got a fair amount of work done, although I had consumed caffeine and L-theanine earlier (about 2 hours earlier, I was feeling tired so I figured I'd try the nicotine).
EDIT: Second session, about a week later. Not as productive. Could be due to a number of factors. So far there has been no urge to take a piece of nicotine gum, have not noticed any addictive side effects. First impression is that it is basically just a stimulant. No pure nootropic qualities other than it makes you more awake and ready to work as much as caf…

Depends on the ROA. If you are using patches, cut them up into 4ths or 8ths. Gum usually works around 1mg. Vaporization is too strong for my tastes.
