UK piracetam doctor says no

Original post in this thread

Hi
So i ordered some piracetam almost a week ago which im still waiting for and Ive finally had an appointment with my doctor. He told me to not try piracetam as it has caused people damage. He says side effects include insomnia and bleeding in the brain and heamorraghes.
Has anyone who has used piracetam had any side effects ever. have any of you, once stopping piracetam, felt that you cant concentrate or focus as much as you could before you ever took any. and could you also state your country please, if you dont mind.
I know about the research of 40 years but still this is worrying. I know its used for treating severe neurological conditions but im worried about the side effects or if my cognitive ability will fall below the baseline after i stop taking it.
Thanks in advance

I like 1.6g for piracetam. Then after a few weeks, I drop it to 800mg.

It is a positive allosteric modulator of the NMDA receptors. That means it increases the activation of the NMDA receptor by endogenous agonists, and also closes the channel before too much calcium passes. It does increase usage of acetylcholine, and is structurally related to GABA.

Yep, my fault guys. I'll just stop posting, and things will get better. It's all on me... You can all go back to caffeine/L-theanine, long winded modafinil, and "does piracetam work" posts. No need to advance the communi

You don't account for dosage of capsules. So the price values of those are all inaccurate. Take noopept for example. We are by far the cheapest per mg in capsules. We just sell it in 30mg and 10mg amounts. Also, multiple

Possible allergic reaction to piracetam?

I would suggest ceasing all supplementation. It could very well be the L-theanine/caffeine too. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks before an allergic reaction manifests. It took weeks for me to develop an allergy to maca. Now th
