You are right, and I agree with the high risk tag my post was given, however this is not a black and white industry, and there are people (like Ceretropic) creating fascinating new compounds worth reading and asking questions about.

Yes, but we are willing to release the structures, because we are not afraid of competition. Also, we feel our customers deserve to know what is going into their bodies.
If intellectual property is such a issue, they need to file patent paperwork to protect their IP. Also, they need to release their research so that people can peer review it. Saying, "trust us, we're professionals" works on TV, but not in real life. Trust is earned, not given.
