My experience with TrueLIFE Researchs HCBT-OX

Original post in this thread

[deleted] · 1 points

We've already talked about their business practises here and here, so let's focus on the actual products this time ;)

You can read more about HCBT-OX on their info page here.

Appearance: Dark brown resinous solid

Very true, reminds me of freebase psilocin, hehe.

Anyway, I've tried it twice so far, so here we go.

---

First trial

21:05: 30mg swallowed on empty stomach.

21:15: Maybe something, slight mood lift, probably placebo.

21:25: There might be a hint of music enhancement. Serotonergic activity? ;)

21:30: Slight time dilation, also feeling more focused, no anxiety.

21:41: If I had to guess, this is a mild NMDA antagonist and SRI. Probably I'm completely wrong.

21:45: Strong mood lift, also seems to suppress appetite, clear headed "high".

22:40: Chatting on IRC, effects faded a little.

23:00: It's a little introspective.

00:00: Very "peaceful" somehow.

00:30: No crash or anything, feeling slightly tired.

---

Second trial

22:30: 60mg swallowed on empty stomach.

22:35: Strong euphoria.

22:55: Clear head high, stimulating.

23:00: Comparabl…

The nootropic community (and even more the RC one) guinea pigs so many substances (anything with a single somewhat interesting paper on it sooner or later appears online for sale); you tag so many substances as high risk here, this is just one more of them.

Or take tianeptine as example, until a few weeks ago we didnd't know that it is a opioid and yet many people were happily taking it because of it's "great" effects.

Doesn't help you much to know what you're taking if you don't understand its pharmacodynamics anyway, I guess.

It's up to the user whether they want to take the risk or not, or stick to substances that have been around for decades. Most of your own products are not very well researched as well, if I may say that here ;)

Being a guinea pig for a new substance with little research is one thing. Being a guinea pig for a substance that you do not even know the chemical structure of is entirely another. You knew I would say something about this post. ;-)

What are you talking about Willis? I knew about the opioid link long ago. Tianeptine has a lot of human studies behind it, and is even approved in the EU. Not to mention people know what they are taking when they use it!

Most of your own products are not very well researched as well

But I tell you what you are taking, and the dosage you are getting! You can make the informed decision to take, or not. The only thing we have with no research is phenylpiracetam hydrazide. Even then, we know about the functional groups that make it up, and can have a good idea for its pharmacodynamics. Even so, you know what it is.

I am all for pushing the boundaries, as you can clearly see by everything I do. But I am not okay with a company putting out products with mystery ingredients. Tell me what the molecule is, and tell me a basic idea of the pharmacodynamics, then I will probably even join you in the experimentation. But willingly withholding what a substance is from your customers is wrong. What happens when someone reads your review, gets curious and tries XIBIT-XYZ, then goes to the hospital because it interacted with something else they were on?
