Noopept smells/tastes like amphetamine?

Hi everyone, I have been reading this subreddit for a bit and have decided to give it a shot.

I found a health supplement eBay store that was near me and I ordered some l-theanine and noopept.

Decided to try the noopept today and I was completely shocked at the smell. I have, years ago, used amphetamine and I can recognise the smell and taste, I opened up the bag of noopept and it was exactly the same.

Does anyone else have experience with this? Do they both just smell/taste the same? Could I have been sold noopept years ago?

Noopept smells like dirty socks, and has a pretty distinct taste. It does not taste anything like dextroamphetamine.

How would you describe the smell and taste?
