I've been on it for 10 months now.. It has changed me, I didn't like myself before it for not able to think and react properly, it got me focused, too focused.. I lost my feelings, I lost my friends and I'm losing myself. I need your support, I got some 5-htp and L-Theanine for my anxiety and depression. I'm on 90 mg of Adderall. Yes.... 90! I've had ADD, anxiety and depression before I started, it gave me confidence that I never had. I built a tolerance and my anxiety inceased, I feel like I'm inside a shell and now I'm crumbling on myself. I know I can do it!! Any success stories out there??? how did your life change after it?
Edit: After recently starting the 5-htp and L-Theanine I have actually felt much more less edgy and "feelings" came back even after being on Adderall. I feel like Adderall has been providing a great benefit but at a great price too. Anyone with experiences on 5-htp & L-Theanine to their Adderall on the long term PLEASE share a comment! I feel that this might work I'm torn up about it..
Update (Wednesday): I cut back to 60 mg today, Aiming for a lower dose tomorrow. L-Theanine has helped me get through the day, I didn't feel the urge to want to take more…

Memantine has helped a lot of people lower their amphetamine dose to lower amounts, while still maintaining or improving the effects. You also need to have a bioavailable magnesium supplement every day. Magnesium glycinate is the best for the price.
You might also need to supplement dopamine precursors. NALT is one I like for short term boosts. L-Phenlalanine is great for long term use. The theanine is most likely helping by increasing dopamine production, and modulating GABA. The 5-HTP is ok for short term boosts, but care should be taken long term, as it will negatively affect dopamine levels without concurrent supplementation of a dopamine precursor. Also, be sure to take EGCG with your 5-HTP, as that will inhibit L-aromatic amino acid decarboxylase, and allow the 5-HTP to pass the blood brain barrier before converting to 5-HT.
You may also want to get on some adaptogens to regulate your DA, 5-HT, and GABA systems. Rhodiola, bacopa, and ashwagandha are all good. Also, it may be too early for me to say for sure on this. However, I just started tianeptine yesterday, and it works very well at alleviating depressive symptoms rapidly. I will need more time to give you a yes or no on it. It's a serotonin re-uptake enhancer, and increases dopamine release and sensitizes 5-HT receptors.
In the long run, you need to lower or get off that Adderall. There are a lot of tradeoffs that come with its use.
