5 days of 3 x 1.6g piracetam use. Still no effect?

I didn't expect anything amazing to come of piracetam, but so far I haven't noticed any effects, and I'm now over 20g in. I heard that choline might be an issue, so I ordered some CDP choline, which will be here soon.
Should I keep taking it until I feel something, or cycle it? There doesn't seem to be much advice out there for those who feel nothing on piracetam.

Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate it's less subtle than that, but I feel like I would notice it if it really did something. If it is really so unnoticeable, is it even worth it? I would venture to say no, from that. Of course, I'd try the other racetams before I gave up on them, but still.

To be honest, if you are going into this with the thought that you are going to get rapid and noticeable changes, then you are going to be let down more times that you can count. Nootropics are about finding what works with your body chemistry, and finding the dosage that gives you the balance of effects you are looking for. Simply taking piracetam by itself is going to be extremely subtle, and may not even work for you personally. It takes time and experimentation to find what works for you. Unfortunately that also takes money.
If you are looking for a mood boost, then there are other substances that will give you immediate results. Tianeptine is awesome for a mood lift. Then you have L-theanine, which is great for low-level anxiety. Then you can also look into adaptogens. Rhodiola is great for energy, while bacopa is really good for mood. Then you have ashwagandha that is good for anxiety. There are a lot more you can look into as well. Piracetam was merely the first nootropic.
