My Unique Perspective on Modafinil

So I've been taking Modafinil for the past 11-12 days straight. I've used varying doses of 100-200mg per day. I think that it is a wonderful supplement to use but it also has some significant downsides. It's not a cure-all "use everyday" sort of thing, for me at least.
My first day taking it was amazing. I felt engaged, alert, and focused throughout my entire day. I destroyed an interview that I went into, full of confidence. Everything was good. So I kept taking varying doses of Modafinil (100-200mg) throughout the past week, every single day. I think extremely indepthly ALL day long on this shit. I retain information like a beast. I'm constantly brainstorming and can't turn my mind off. I love that feeling, when I'm always on top of my mental game. It's a great feeling to be a sharp as I've ever been throughout my life (I've always suffered from extreme ADD even while in middle school, to this day in college). I finally feel like I can maintain trains of thoughts and have normal extensive conversations with people, without getting lost in ADD world or becoming distracted by a squirrel. By the way I hate the feeling of using Adderall, Vyvanse and Ritalin, those are all terrible…

I just talked to my doc and requested the switch. Moda is less regulated than addy, so they shouldn't give you any issues. She said she prescribed it off-label fairly regularly.
I just told her (truthfully) that I didn't like how addy made me feel, and it was aggravating my anxiety and giving me headaches, even on 1/2 my prescribed dose (and taking 2-3 days off a week). Said I wanted to try moda because I'd heard good things about it, and that I didn't want another plain stimulant.
My insurance covered it the same as the addy, it's 10 bucks for a month's supply, and that's for 200mg tablets. I take 100mg/day (200 was too much).

Wow, that's good insurance! Normally it's $800/month for generic and $1,200/month for Provigil. That is, unless something just changed in the last few months.
