Do you still get the nootropic caffeine effects after tolerance sets in?

I wanted to know if the positive effects of caffeine, with respect to memory and concentration, are negated after you get tolerant to the caffeine (which usually happens within about a week of consistent use, I believe).
I know that you get tolerant to the caffeine and now NEED it to feel awake, but what I'm wondering is if this also means you need more caffeine just to have the positive effects of memory/concentration, etc. Thanks a lot!

[This] (http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s002130000506) suggests tolerance to the psychological effects does not develop.
