That's my issue with the US government. I would consider myself fairly Libertarian. Not because I wouldn't love an efficient and cost effective government solution for our issues, but because I just don't see it happening with our current structure. There is no accountability and no incentive for our government to be efficient.
If we could run our government more as a non-profit corporation, with fiscal goals and accountability, then we could make it happen. That is seemingly impossible given our current structure and voting system.
