Longvida consistently potentiates cannabis???

Original post in this thread

So I've been occasionally taking Longvida and every time I take it, it seems to potentiate smoked cannabis quite significantly (even 8+ hours after taking Longvida). I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this? I've heard of people using turmeric/curcumin to potentiate things before, but wasn't expecting it to work this well. I actually don't take it very much because it can potentiate it to an uncomfortable extent for me as I'm fairly prone to get some anxiety from THC.

Ohh good, thank god you lack self control! Yeah thats super cool honestly, and i think its good to highlight a lot of the stuff that you seem to have been doing for a while aswell, science is not very useful unless people can access it after all. Yeah thats fully understandable, you seem to be busy as is and this entire year has been a massive shit show to say the least. Another website? Did you guys not update it like a year ago or less? Ooouuuu, more supplement drama, very exciting lol. Im guessing its not as bad as the turkesterone situation? Do you mean that you will probably launch the new website before you restock your products or did i misunderstand? What are you guys going to present at the innovation thing, im guessing itll be something on the more analytical side of things? As much as i appreciate all the time you put into this, i do hope you have time to spend with your family aswell.

I see, did you guys run out of the reference material? I think i remember you saying that you were regularly reaching 0.3% erinacine c in erinamax. Thats really cool, tiger milk mushroom seems quite interesting, but it seems like there is a very large gap in research which is always a bit spooky, would be interesting to see what you guys find out about it. Its very exciting that you guys are moving to standardise all your things to bioactives, it definitely makes it feel a lot less o…

Not a new ND website. This is a full website for the Future Nutra Foundation, the nonprofit we are working on.

As does my wife! LOL

We never isolated enough pure to do a reference material. We were waiting on our SFC-50 system to be fully operation, which took a lot longer than expected.

Yeah, we were one of the first on Tiger Milk, as we usually are. However, more and more people are starting to get into it, but sell shitty stuff from China made from the fruiting bodies. For us to be able to assess quality objectively, we need to figure out the bioactives, create standards & methods, and standardize to them. I am sure we will be the first there. Nobody else is even working on it.

Thats super cool about erinamax, i think you have mentioned that study/ your cooperation with that university, i dont remember what the specific area of research was in, but i dont think it was very cns/ cognition related

This isn't through a university, but a cancer research institute. It's specifically related to brain cancer.

Speaking of tongkat, my gym card recently ran out so i decided to cut out my tongkat and dioscorea and ginseng, just so that i can save a bit and hopefully not run out before the black friday haul comes in. Boy was that a mistake lol, i felt surprisingly good when i was taking all those before, but like after a day of not taking them, i started feeling like shit.

Not surprising! Dropping testosterone levels always are pretty noticeable. Also, research has shown that Tongkat has a direct dopamine effect as well.

Brain Cortical and Hippocampal Dopamine: A New Mechanistic Approach for Eurycoma longifolia Well-Known Aphrodisiac Activity and Its Chemical Characterization

I did find this super duper interesting study though, maybe a week ago or so. It showed that tongkat, specifically the quassinoids eurycomanone, eurycomanol and 14,15β-dihydroxyklaineanone, upregulate the enzyme Aralkylamine N-acetyltransferase (AANAT). What this enzyme does is that it converts serotonin into the neuroplastic and neurogenic, trkB agoinst, n-acetylserotonin, this could definitely be where some of the mood effects are coming from.

That is probably part of it as well. We are doing some cell culture research on the various quassinoids in Tongkat in our lab. I would be interesting to see how they not only affect leydig cells, but perhaps even other cell types like brain cells.

On the bright side, some of tongkats bioactives are more active than others, for example, eurycomanol was most effective at 0.1 micrograms/ ml and 14,15β-dihydroxyklaineanone was most effective at 0.01 micrograms/ ml. Which bioactives do you guys test for?

There are 8 total peaks that come over in our extracts that we think are quassinoids. Eurycomanone is just one of them. We are in the process of elucidating and validating the other 7, creating standards, then doing cell culture work in the lab on each to elucidate what each one is doing. One of the peaks does have the same mass as eurycomanol, so that is likely one of them. I don't see a corresponding mass for 14,15β-dihydroxyklaineanone in there, but we do see 13a(21)-epoxyeurycomanone and 13,21-dihydroeurycomanone.

By the way, any news on amyloban? Still interested to find out whats going on with it.

I asked my team about that a couple weeks ago, because I had not seen a sample yet. I will check again.
