Longvida consistently potentiates cannabis???

So I've been occasionally taking Longvida and every time I take it, it seems to potentiate smoked cannabis quite significantly (even 8+ hours after taking Longvida). I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this? I've heard of people using turmeric/curcumin to potentiate things before, but wasn't expecting it to work this well. I actually don't take it very much because it can potentiate it to an uncomfortable extent for me as I'm fairly prone to get some anxiety from THC.

That could be why, but the pharmacokinetic studies do seem to suggest that its not the entire story. The best affinity of curcumin and its metabolites that i found was about 700 nm for curcumin for MAO A, from pharmacokinetic studies on longvida, the peak serum concentration of curcumin was about 60 nm (for 650 mgs of longvida). Even if we assume that he takes it with black pepper and that he has poor metabolism, its unlikely that brain concentration reach these levels, even if we assume that curcumin accumulates due to its lipophillicity. Even when accounting for its metabolites, some of which have decent affinity for MAO at around 3 micromolar i think, its doubtful that this is the primary mechanism behind the potentiation. Due to how long after taking longvida that he can still feel the potentiation, it coulr very well be some unknown effect of a metabolite or something aswell.
Some other possible reasons that it could be potentiating it are:
Curcumin ameliorates microglial over activation dependent on the cb2 receptor (it has good binding energy but unknown affinity/ki)
Curcumin binds to multiple different kinases/ enzymes that can interact with things like ion channels, some of these enzymes are GSK 3 beta and PP2A (potentially since it seems to have decent binding energy and disrupts d2 related behavioural effects of d2 agonists at low concentrations)
It also binds to (…

Yes, for sure it is not the only story. It's always more complex than it is initially thought. Your assessment of Longvida's ability to get curcumin and its metabolites to the brain in meaningful enough concentrations to affect MAOI is certainly warranted. However, I still think there is something more that the current data is not showing. Longvida just causes way more mental stimulation than other curcumin sources, and it's pretty consistent for everyone I talk to that tries multiple types. Could that be from something other than MAOI? Sure, it could be. The AMPK activation is probably part of it. Maybe it is also PP2A and GSK-3β. It's likely a combo of mechanisms all working together. Simplifying it down to just one is probably missing the forest for the trees.
By the way, did you guys end up analysing amyloban?
Thanks for reminding me! I am pretty sure I had my team get some, but I don't see any results in our testing tracker. I will check to see what the status is.
Any other exciting news, both on the product front and science front? Have you guys analysed any other bioactives in your products that you havent before?
LOL, yes to all. Every day is more interesting data. I think one of our biggest issues is that I have prioritized actually doing and solving science over all else, so we have little time to even stop and tell everyone about it before moving on to the next problem. However, I am solving that issue with some internal changes. I hired another PhD scientist who is going to be focused on publishing studies and white papers from our science operations. He is also going back through our old data to make reports and white papers on. Our cool science findings shouldn't be relegated to just occasional Reddit comments from me... that many people never even see. It cheapens our efforts. We want to finally put our data out there in a format that not only allows everyone to see it, but does it in a way that is befitting the efforts it took to accomplish. So stay tuned!
