I like the idea of taking this near a workout for the heat and mood. I generally lift in the cold and sometimes it's hard to get the engine going. What's your opinion on it's anti-inflammatory mechanisms on hypertrophy? It appears to be relatively novel compared to most and I have to imagine there's quite a few bros out there taking all kinds of boswellia (real or not) supplements for joints with no regard for timing. IMO it's a pretty overblown concern for the majority of people and majority of compounds if everything else is dialed in. Definitely would like to hear your thoughts this vs. other anti-inflammatories - specifically in regards to timing but feel free to share any other comments.
On the topic of boswellia but somewhat off-topic: I'm a big fan of Dante Trudel and I personally don't think he's lead anyone wrong. I used to take True Nutritions J-Flex9 (joint stack) which has ApresFlex - patented boswellia. It definitely seemed to help and I know with patented ingredients at least there's a somewhat better shot. Have you ever tested any of their products? Also have taken A-Bolic and definitely responded strongly to it. Supposedly Turk, Quercefit, and Apigenin - of which I've taken the 2 latter (albeit lesser dosages) and never got the same results. Yes, Apresflex is from PLT. It's also called 5-Loxin. That's one of the extracts with higher AKBA that we tested that I didn't really feel much. It has 30% AKBA, which I figured I would feel much more than this extract, but nada. That's one of the reasons I started to think AKBA wasn't the main active that was giving me the effects I liked. I think something like Apresflex will work in a larger stack, as I do find our Boswellia phytosome does as well. However, this supercritical extract is much better for me.
Supposedly Turk, Quercefit, and Apigenin - of which I've taken the 2 latter (albeit lesser dosages) and never got the same results. On top of the turk likely being fake, always worried they might be dumping pro-hormones into it or something after I started going down the ND rabbit hole. I know there's some decent data on Apigenin and Quercetin being anabolic so curious on your thoughts there - if you have any light to shed that would be awesome.
I absolutely think many of the bodybuilding products on the market are putting in undisclosed ingredients to pump the effects up. In fact, many people on the bodybuilding forums actually WANT THAT. They search out products that people report might have undisclosed prohormones or other things in them. It's crazy to me, but many in that community value gains/effects above all else, and don't care about the risks associated.
