It's better than any other Boswellia I have ever used, and it is not even close. It gives me a really nice mood boost, which I don't get from other extracts out there. I've actually been using this one for a couple years now. We've been working with a team in the EU that have a really cool supercritical extraction facility, and I got a ton of samples from them a couple years back. So I have been personally beta testing a ton of cool supercritical extracts. They are just expensive, so I wasn't sure if people would value them. However, this particular one I knew was going to be a hit when I ran out. That's generally how I can tell when things might be popular. I get samples and then I use it all and get sad when I run out. This led me to source a bunch of other Boswellia and do more testing. At first I thought it might be the AKBA and boswellic acids. However, after beta testing other extracts that had more than this, I got none of the effects that I liked. This is when I decided everyone might be looking at the totally wrong thing. This extract smells and tastes absolutely delicious. The volatile compounds in it are so much stronger than any other product out there, so we decided to test for volatiles. At first I thought it was the incensole acetate, as that was on our radar before for hitting the TRPV receptor. However, after developing assay methods, we saw almost none of that in there. So I looked at the data further, and realized that's not the primary active we wanted anyway. It's serratol and cembrenol. Those are orders of magnitude more active at TRPV than incensole acetate. As it turns out, those are the two big peaks we see when we assay this extract! So I am convinced it is serratol and cembrenol that are the real primary actives of Boswellia, and the boswellic acids/AKBA are secondary actives. So this extract has a good amount of AKBA and boswellic acids, but the cembrenes are the really cool compounds. Crazy that nobody is even talking about them, and it is all about boswellic acids.
Side note, we tested a bunch of the product on the market that claim to have 60% boswellic acids. It's all bullshit. We are finding less than 1% in there. There are multiple Chinese suppliers selling this 60% boswellic acids raw material, and it is this total shit product that fails all our testing. Yes, every single brand claiming 60%...
