Unlocking the mysteries of these plants is so.. soooo effing cool to me. I'm an electrical engineer but in another life, or maybe later on, I would love to push botanical science forward like you one way or another! Really look up to you and your team.
I'm not sure I noticed much from the other boswellia extract you guys have. I was using it for some knee / back pain, and to help relieve gut irritation. I think I'm going to have to try this one out, even if only for the mood effects.
What's the mood boost like for you? The warmth effect is really interesting.

100%. We started offering the Boswellia phytosome because customers we asking us to carry it, and it had good human clinical research behind it. However, I was never blown away by it, and /u/Pretty-Chill never noticed anything. I personally used it, but with a bunch of other products in a pain/inflammation stack. It seems to round out the stack, but doesn't blow me away on its own. This new extract is different. I think the magic is in the volatiles combined with the boswellic acids. That TRPV activation is key.

It's one of those ones where it doesn't hit you in the face right away. You notice it more when you stop taking it. I often find that is the case. I will beta test things, and not really feel blown away at first. It's when I run out of my beta test sample that I realize how much it was actually improving my mood. Retrospection is crucial for self-assessment of effects. Once I realized it was something that was really helping my mood, I messed around with it a bit more in stacks. I liken it to that feeling you get eating spicy food. You know how you kind of have a mood boost after eating something like Pho or a spicy ramen? That's kind of how this feels. This is why we started honing in on the TRPV receptor in the first place. Hell, years ago we came up with a tentative mood boost stack, and we had capsaicin in there for that mechanism, so it has been on our radar for a while. It's just that I was looking at incensole, but missed the other cembrenes that were even stronger. I have found that eating spicy foods after taking the supercritical boswellia is a fun time as well!
