Maybe Im missing a step here, so this is specifically about hericene A, a compound in lions mane. But how much? How much hericene is there, they tested at 250mg, if Im taking 2gm of lions mane how much hericene am I getting, is there a way to know that? It's certainly not on my label.

It's talking about N-de phenylethyl isohericerin (NDPIH) and hericene A. You are not getting much of either in most lion's mane products. You have to grow specific strains in a specific way to get high levels of these actives. This paper used a South Korean strain. Then they extracted with ethanol, and used flash chromatography and prep HPLC to isolate and concentrate enough to study. We use a Buchi flash chromatography/prep HPLC system ourselves to do the same thing. You need a LOT of dried mushroom material to be able to concentrate enough of some of these actives to study. This study is trying to elucidate the actions of these compounds, not quantify them in lion's mane samples you can buy.
