Considering the main active in this extract is something that isn't readily metabolized in the body in large quantity with regular bacopa, would it be safe to say that the memory benefits of bacopa don't have much to do with with Ebelin Lactone? If that's the case then does this extract still retain the normal memory effects/ still have those actives in the extract, or do the effects not have much relation to bacopa and its just the extract source.

This extract absolutely still retains the memory effects, and enhances them. Both the 5-HT2A and M1 receptor effects are very targeted for memory.
Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors act in synergy to facilitate learning and memory
The amount of ebelin lactone that will get created in the body when taking a normal extract is going to be extremely variable, and really dependent on both the extract you take and your body at the time. The conversion is very pH sensitive, so the pH of someone's GI tract might be suited to converting more one day, but less the next. It will also likely depend on the genetics of that individual. The bacopa extract you would need to take would have to be high in bacoside A3 and bacopaside X, as those are the precursors that eventually convert into ebelin lactone. However, everyone just groups all the bacosides together, so one batch might be high in them, while another not, even though the batches might pass assay for total bacosides. Our Cognance takes all the guess work out of it, and allows you to dose the exact same amount of ebelin lactone every time.
