Foggy/groggy and more melancholy punctuated by small moments of a strange but alluring uplift. I remember thinking years ago there had to be some compound in bacopa that was helpful mixed in with one that wasn’t. Perhaps this is it?

It very well could be! Ebelin lactone will get created in small amounts when taking other bacopa extracts, but that process is extremely variable and uncontrolled. This one does not cause any of that foggy/groggy feeling, and is actually stimulating and uplifting. Some of our initial R&D batches did not have a full conversion, and those felt more like a normal bacopa extract, just with more mood lift. You would still feel that calming sort of slowdown effect you feel from bacopas, as there was still jujubogenin and pseudojujubogenin left in there. Our final formula we decided on for Cognance was a much more complete conversion, and that feels very different than the others. It's a much more acute and targeted effect. Some people might still like that calming/sedating effect from more normal bacopa extracts, but Cognance is very different. If you don't react well to Cognance, you will likely never react well to any bacopa. This is about as novel as bacopa gets!
