Back when I trialed nobiletin, according to Bearable app, I was taking a very basic stack: whey protein (Original Nutrition), magnesium caps (Life Extension) and caffeine (Nespresso pods). It was one month after finishing physiotherapy.
In another data point, unrelated to nobiletin, for some reason, a parsley supplement (I was trialing it as a CD38 inhibitor before ND's apigenin came out) also increased joint pain for me.
The only other factor that might play into it (though I'm not sure about it) might be high ferritin levels, which I'm working on by donating blood. But, it doesn't have anything to do with any sort of illness. I blame it on prolonged vitamin C supplementation in the past.
Some nootropics do cause a strong side effect for me, especially on the first few days, but the side effects sometimes do go away if I trial them again later on. That's why I think I may give nobiletin another shot. For instance, I'm taking maca (NOW Foods) now, whereas for the very first time I took it made me very irritable. I've tried it a few months later, and it didn't have that side effect anymore.
On a side note, I've dropped white jelly because it made me slightly depressed, and, upon research, I've found that it does have cholinergic action. Then I've decided to give it to my girlfriend. But, since you've said that you're taking it (and I know cholinergics make you depressed as…

Yeah, white jelly actually increases my mood. However, I do have to be particular about combos. Stacking it with too many other cholinergics can tip the scales. I have been messing around with it, Sibelius sage, and celastrus. I think it is fine with the white jelly and sage, but adding celastrus to the mix can push it too far. A lot of traditional Chinese formulas actually combine white jelly with poria mushroom. Polygala is another common combo with them, too. There is some nice synergy there.
Did the parsley supplement tell you what/how much flavonoids were in it? Do you get the same issue from apigenin, or is that one okay for you?
