u/misteryouaresodumb how and why do you fast consistently 22 hours a day? Do you ever take a break or is this everyday? I know time restriction feeding has evidence to be healthy but this seems extreme in the binge eating in 2 hours sense, and likely to not even feasible to consume enough healthy calories I would imagine.

Why? It's what I have worked up to that makes me feel the best. I just operate much better in a fasted state, and I have naturally just gravitated towards one meal a day. It works for me, and my body is used to to.
How? I had to work up to it over time, but now it is easy. I don't really get hungry anymore till around 5pm. Generally I will eat around 6-7pm, and be done within that hour. Then I am fine again till the next day at 5pm rolls around. My body is used to this schedule.
Do I ever take a break? Yes, sometimes when my wife wants to get brunch/lunch on a Sunday I will go along with it. Very rarely do I take a break on a normal day, though. I just don't get hungry till later. I still listen to my body, though. If I am doing a lot of exercise or yard work, and my body is telling me I need some energy, I will eat earlier and break my fast. I generally just go with what my body is telling me, and most days it doesn't tell me that I need to eat till later in the day. You can certainly eat plenty of calories in one hour once you are used to it. I've been doing this for like 4 years now. I've always been able to eat quickly since I was a child, though. Maybe others can't do it as easily. It's no big deal for me.
