Old comment but just wanted to note: the study you quoted used only 40 male subjects. The findings need to be read in light of that. It's encouraging, nevertheless.

It's also interesting that TMAO levels were much higher in female mice versus male mice in the Wang-Hazen study. Obviously we shouldn't be drawing any parallels across species, but differential effects by sex is a good point for readers to keep in mind.

I'm still concerned about the 2021 Korean cohort study that found 43% higher stroke incidence in elderly subjects who had taken A-GPC. Causality is always a question in these cases, of course.

That's true. That study was all male subjects. Females could be different. Still, in the study you linked there was no correlation between females and higher stroke, so you would think you'd see that if that was the case.
