Not sure this is the best advertising idea...

If you added a comment to the ad that's a bit more serious, maybe citing a few studies / linking to your blog, I think that would work better to show that it's a joke ad for a more serious brand - maybe keep comments open or invite discussion in the ND sub. If someone's never heard of ND and all they see is that, they might think "low quality clickbait company" since some spammy companies do use that advertising technique.
If you added some fine print at the bottom of the image, maybe something like "can increase testosterone (Smith, John; "Article Name"; Journal of Whatever, 2019)". Just having a citation at the bottom of the joke ad could make it clear that it's a joke ad for a serious brand to those who don't click through to see the comment.

The point of this ad wasn't to be serious. It was to target funny bodybuilding subs to see if I could get eyes on an ad and get people not just ignoring it. It was more a test of Reddit's ad systems than anything. You know how many times our old serious ad was shown? 14,978,387! Almost FIFTEEN MILLION TIMES!!! Everyone just ignored it. It has a 90% down-vote rate, and it was a serious ad giving people a coupon. The idea that serious ads work on Reddit is not supported by the data, unfortunately. Also, this tongkat ad goes to a nice landing page with good information for them.

Then we link our tongkat ali blog at the bottom, which is probably one of our most scientifically deep blogs we have on the site.

We go into the lab testing, chemistry, and validation data. Not sure how anyone could come out of that blog thinking we are not serious. No other brand has gone into that amount of detail on tongkat testing. If people don't think we are a serious brand, they are not looking. However, I am not dismissing your overall message. We need to do a better job of efficiently showing people the things that really matter. Those are product quality, lab testing, quality control, standardization, and effects. We are making some big changes to our site and marketing this year.
