With the ongoing trade war I hope ND is able to wether the storm.. being a US producer might be good for ND in particular - but for us outside the US seeing as the world economy just took a massive dump today and this is only the beginning. I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully this is only for a short while, but I suspect my supplement usage will be a luxury I might Ill afford in the coming years, so long, and thanks for all the memories ♥️

Yeah, this trade war is going to fuck a lot of things up. It's literally the dumbest thing anyone has ever done in human history, and I am not joking when I say that. Other things have been done that were dumb, but nothing on this scale for literally no reason, and using zero qualified analysis in doing so. We've shipped millions of orders around the world for the past 12 years. We have more experience than most regarding this exact issue. That idiotic chart Trump showed was just a complete and utter lie. Those countries DO NOT have tariffs on US goods. We literally have free trade agreements with many of them, and Trump even personally negotiated and signed some of them last time he was in office. The idea that these are retaliating for other countries already having tariffs on US products is so laughable stupid, it hurts.
"Ohh, but this will incentivize domestic production, and bring jobs back here!"
Ohh yeah?!? Cistanche, which only grows in the deserts of northern China, and has not been domestically cultivated yet, is going to shift over to the US? Tongkat, which grows in the jungles of Malaysia, is just going to be planted in our tropical jungles here in the USA, and we will shift it all here? Then you have seasonality. We import fruit from the southern hemisphere in winter, so we can have access to it year round. Then we also export to them when they are in their winter. So we just won't have strawberries in the winter anymore? That's nothing to say of the economies of scale that other countries have on some things we just don't here. Also, even for the stuff that in theory could be moved back here, how are companies going to fund it? The tariffs will be adding a shitload of cost, and sales will likely fall because of that increased cost. How are companies going to build the facilities here to shift production if the government is just taxing everyone a shitload more?
So I feel you. I've been pissed about the tariffs since he implemented them in his first term, but this new shit is just batshit retarded. I am hoping we can get creative and pivot on some things, or they realize how stupid they are being and back down. However, I just don't know at this point.
