Edit: Check out MYASD's reply. Tl;dr is it's super shitty timing but their costs went up a lot so it sucks for everyone, no shadiness here.
I had my cart already picked out ahead of the sale (lol) and I just went in to add one more thing I forgot and noticed that a large number of items went up in price, some of them by a good bit too.
What they were answering

If the team agrees it's a good fit, very generally speaking how long do you think it would probably take to come to fruition? I mean, assuming no random supply craziness directly affecting it. Sorry to hear about the rejection but that is exactly why I'm not even considering getting it from anyone cheaper, you have standards well above most and it shows.

Actually packaging it wouldn't take long. We have the jars and can run them on our auto-fill line. It's just dependent on when we can get a new batch in that passes our testing. That's the biggest hurdle. It's hard to say how long that might take, as I don't know the extent of the quality issue yet. We just found out about the rejection a couple days ago. If it is a limited one, hopefully we can get a different batch from a different synth and move on. However, sometimes there are more widespread quality issues that can take a while to work through. This usually happens with raw materials where there are only a couple labs making it. Sometimes they change the synthesis method or get a bad batch of precursors in, and it takes time for them to work through it. Of course they keep selling the bad batches in the meantime, because most people accept them without question to not run out. It's shitty, but the norm. Sometimes it feels like we are one of the only ones trying to hold them accountable to quality standards. They are telling us right now that it's because we used UPLC and they used HPLC... Like UPLC is just so much more advanced that it will show different purities than HPLC. LOL. I wish I could say this was abnormal, but we have arguments like this all the time with suppliers about methodologies and results. We'll work through it, though. We always do.
