Edit: Check out MYASD's reply. Tl;dr is it's super shitty timing but their costs went up a lot so it sucks for everyone, no shadiness here.
I had my cart already picked out ahead of the sale (lol) and I just went in to add one more thing I forgot and noticed that a large number of items went up in price, some of them by a good bit too.
What they were answering

Only ND could get away with jacking prices before the hyped sale yet still get positive response by the community. Would of been better to do it post sale, just looks a bit dodgy.

I understand the optics, but the majority of our products had no price increase. It was about 30 products out of our catalog of several hundred. Many times it was just the smallest size. The other sizes stayed the same. Creatine rose the most, because the raw material tripled in price. What else can we do when the raw material triples in price? How can the industry sustain massive price increases with 25-33% tariffs on top of the increased raw material pricing? I am just as frustrated as everyone. I don't want to do stupid shit like this to rock the boat before a sale. That's the last thing I want to do, to be here on Reddit constantly having to explain why we had to do something that disappointed people. The last thing I want to do is disappoint people. I really was holding out hope that Biden would remove the tariffs and we could start moving back to normal, but then the past few months things accelerated like crazy. Now we are being told to expect shortages of a bunch of raw materials through summer. I didn't want to cancel the sale. I know people have been looking forward to it. We just had to address the dangerously low products. The majority of products are the same price they were.
