Has taking nootropics changed the way you perceive reality?

Has your nootropic use changed the way you perceive or react to reality? Has it changed your understanding of reality as a concept as well?
For example, I’ve noticed that I have been a lot more confident in general after taking Phenibut or phenylethylamine, even after I stopped taking it. I used to be insecure and think that people were making fun of me. I guess after trying those nootropics, I realized that there was more ways to perceive the current moment than what I was used to. So, instead of thinking that people bullied me I started thinking that they really like me. I realized that neither is more true than the other because I have no idea what anybody is actually thinking. So why not choose one thats more positive? After adopting that mindset on and off nootropics, more people began to like me and my charm amplified. It’s to the point where I’m secure and I don’t care about other people’s thoughts.
My point is that my use of nootropics have made me consider point of views that I wouldn’t have before and understand all of the little ways one can actually perceive reality.

There are likely very few people in the world that have tried/taken as many nootropics as I have. Am I different now than I was at the start? Absolutely! My brain is forever changed. However, a big part of that is my conscious choice to see things differently. My reality is different today than when I tried my first nootropic compound many many years ago. Have certain nootropics helped me to shift my reality more than others? For sure. However, I was always in the driver's seat. If I was closed off to the possibility of a certain experience, I was less likely to have it happen. If I was open to feeling and seeing what a compound did, I was more likely to getting something from it.
We often like to shift agency away from ourselves. It's a part of how our ego works. However, those that have experienced ego death can tell you that it reveals to you how much energy we spend creating walls to protect ourselves. So much of our energy is spent walling ourselves off to things that might potentially challenge our preconceived notions. This is where certain substances can help break those walls down. Once down, you realize the limits for the reality you can create for yourself are endless! You realize that these walls are not protecting you at all. They are limiting you to the possibilities right in front of your face. I believe this is the quintessential shift in reality that everyone should strive for. It's the freeing event that can define what is possible for the rest of their lives. Nootropics are just one of the tools that can make that easier, but it must come from within to actually happen. The specific tools that will help each individual are going to vary wildly by person. However, end goal is the same. It's the journey that varies, and each person has to figure out for themselves how to get there. For some it might be one compound and one experience that sets it off. For others it might be many compounds over a longer period that slowly helps you to shift your perception. However, that's the beauty of it. It's your journey, and you are in the driver's seat. In the end the accomplishment is yours, and yours alone.
