i found this on ebay; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Real-Cordyceps-militaris-Mushrooms-Grown-On-Live-Silkworms-Authentic-Whole/292777195094?hash=item442ae17656:m:m0eY1YSuC_bXfTnIHIv8LPQ and its the only actual real cordyceps coming out of the silkworm directly thats actually on sell anywhere. i wonder if anyone had something so straight from the source before? it doesnt seem as expensive as they usually go for which is interesting. i suppose more people are able to try and report then.

well, how come studies concentrate their attention on cordycepin alone, and do not conclude with well it might be something else or maybe cordyceps as whole is whats beneficial? this is what has been eluding me for a while. there doesnt seem to be anything else worth mentioning besides that. maybe its some of the vitamins and minerals that work in combination with the whole herb, or the beta glucans etc. Because all medicinal mushrooms ,while being different ,having different constituents , do work in similar way, when it comes down to the immune system. And its the beta glucans! im pretty sure IF lions mane actually does work, its indirect from anything to do with NGF, but its gut-brain axis, probably metabolites from bacteria hence why not everyone can experience its benefits because of different becteria present and therefore difference in metabolites. but the fact is this, lions mane just like any mushroom DOES have immune boosting potential because of the beta glucans and i believe thats basically IT as far as medicinal quality goes for any mushroom out there.

There are so many things in mushrooms we have not yet fully elucidated. The science is so behind. It's crazy. They have been used for thousands of years, but they only recently have become more popular in the west. So we have to scramble to catch the science up with the anecdotal. Trust me, our testing was very surprising to me, too. I figured cordycepin was the main thing. I fully expected to find the higher % extracts worked better, but that was not the case. In fact, Stamets' cordyceps mycelium rice was really high in cordycepin, but I didn't feel shit after taking it.
The specific types of beta-glucans are absolutely a part of everything. Right now we are grouping them all together, but there is so much variability there. You can have less total beta-glucans, but more of the specific ones you want, and get better effects. This is where better analytical methods comes in. The science just needs to catch up. There are ergosterol derivatives in there as well. We have also found interesting new terpenes in the mushrooms, too. So the beneficial effects are much more complex than simple one or two active ingredients. This is what we are working to solve. We have not brought out many new mushroom products in years, because I want to solve some of these analytical issues before we release new ones. If I can't measure why something is better, and have validated chemistry behind it, how can I honestly say it is better? We are getting close, but it all takes tons of time, effort, and money. We have a bunch of new equipment we bought for our lab that will help us solve these questions. However, our main mushroom scientist is in the EU right now. He was supposed to already be out here working on these things back in March, but COVID-19 resulted in travel bans for EU citizens coming here. So he has been doing research over there, but the equipment he needs is over here. We are just waiting on the travel restrictions to lift to get him into our lab here to get it done.
