Per the title, is Chaga a 5AR inhibitor? I'm looking for ways to boost immunity but had a really better experience with Reishi. got super weepy, demotivated and practically depressed.

If I may share my personal experience: Bacopa from Doctor's Best [Synapsa] or Himalaya caused pain in my testicles, testicle withdrawal into inside the body, and eyebrow hair growth. It reduced my libido. I remember thinking that those young monks in India not only benefited from the memory enhancing effects of Bacopa but they also had diminished sexual distractions. I have ADHD, mild Autism, and Aphantasia. I was welling to keep taking it for several months because it looked great on paper. I didn't see any benefit from it, so I stopped.
Lion's Mane 8:1 from ND also causes - less noticeable - pain in my testicles and testicle withdrawal into the body. However, on it my Episodic Memory started working better: I started remembering random events from my past and I became more nostalgic and emotional about my memories. When I found out about the 5-AR inhibition effects, I stopped. My memory quickly returned to my baseline. I tried it again twice, but in a couple of days the side effects returned.
Poria 1:1 from ND has the same side effects as Lion's Mane. It improved my focus and motivation. After 2 weeks on 2x500 mg daily, It gave me a subtle hint of how a brain without ADHD feels. But I had to stop due to testicle pain. I tried it again for a week with the same side effects, but it gave me enough motivation to get medication [Atomoxetine]. For the record, I was on 3x100 20:1…

Have you gone to the doctor to get a hormone test to see if that is what is going on, or if it might be another mechanism?
