Per the title, is Chaga a 5AR inhibitor? I'm looking for ways to boost immunity but had a really better experience with Reishi. got super weepy, demotivated and practically depressed.

Sorry I should have been more clear. Here is an image of the graph I was referring to. As you can see the positive % inhibition of different natural dietary plant extracts, meaning the percentage it inhibited, while S. Bicolor^(sorghum) is the only one with a negative %inhibition meaning it was the only one that showed it not only did not have any 5ar inhibiting properties, but actually stimulated 5-ar.
Also, sorry, I should have bolded the sentence to make it clear what I was referring to.
The O. sativa and C. tinctorius crude extracts and fraction No. 4 of the O. sativa crude extract also exhibited marked 5AR inhibition activity at 92.73 ± 6.91, 91.52 ± 7.69 and 90.89 ± 8.5% ofthe control, respectively, while the S. bicolor crude extract and their fractions showed the negative result which stimulated the production of 5- -reductase enzyme. "
As you can see here O. sativa^(Rice) and C. tinctorius^(Safflower) extracts both have strong 5ar-i properties, while S. Bicolor^(Sorghum) stimulated the production of the 5-ar enzyme. The amount the sorghum extracts stimulated depended on the different extracted fraction as listed earlier in the study. All of the S. Bicolor fractions had 5ar stimulating properties.
The control was 100% 5ar inhibition, therefore it suggests S. Bicolor extract, stimulated 5ar enzymes 54.71%.

Interesting! I wonder why that shows an opposite result to the study I posted? I suppose the study I posted was an ethyl acetate extract of sorghum. The study you posted seems to be a supercritical CO2 extract and a crude extract with water. Perhaps something is coming over with ethyl acetate that is not with the other extraction techniques.
