Different shipping option experiences from Nootropics Depot to the EU/UK?

I'm thinking about putting in a ND order to the UK, but first I've been reading around and heard many different experiences about each of the shipping options. I'm mainly interested in: a) how long each one took; b) how much you had to pay in customs fees (particularly if ordering to the UK); and c) how large the order was.
I've got a general gist that standard can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks, whereas DHL is usually within 5 or so working days. DHL is substantially more expensive, but I wonder if differences in customs fees could help to elucidate which is most cost-effective. I've also heard of people sometimes avoiding customs fees with the USPS options, but haven't heard any reports of FedEx. Similarly, it'd be nice to know how order size effects these fees. Thanks!

Import duties and VAT. Also, shipping costs from the Netherlands are insanely higher than we get in the US. There might be a way to get an exemption from VAT if we are exporting the products. However, we were told that we would have to pay the VAT upfront, then get the money back after we show evidence that the products were exported from the Netherlands AND that we charged the customers VAT in their home countries. So we would have to charge more for the products, charge customers VAT, plus shipping would be 40-80% more than the US. We did not think people would accept that.
