Im really considering buying Real Mushroom’s Lions Mane product. I just seen so many threads on this and how Host Defense includes mycelium (root of mushroom) thats turned into grain. I should avoid the latter. Im new to the Nootropics game but Im gonna finish this bottle of Host Defense and grab myself another product. What do you yall think?

Chinese grown mushrooms apparently contain heavy metals from the ridiculous amount of air pollution over there.

That's propaganda from Paul Stamets to try and make people think Chinese mushrooms are bad. It's just plain false. We test every batch of mushrooms that comes through, and not once have we rejected one due to heavy metals. Not once! We reject other things all the time, like bacopa and curcumin. However, the mushrooms have not had any appreciable heavy metals that we have seen.
Mushrooms grow quickly, and usually in sealed greenhouses. The farms are also usually far outside of cities. So they are not really absorbing them. Even so, that's why you test every batch. Then if you do find a batch that has higher levels, you reject it. That's how everything works. That's why proper quality control and testing procedures are followed.
