Im really considering buying Real Mushroom’s Lions Mane product. I just seen so many threads on this and how Host Defense includes mycelium (root of mushroom) thats turned into grain. I should avoid the latter. Im new to the Nootropics game but Im gonna finish this bottle of Host Defense and grab myself another product. What do you yall think?

Which is weird because last time I looked into the literature, most if not all the studies I looked at on the benefits were being done with mycelium. Not sure what the source of the mycelium=garbage statement is, but I would like to see some proof.
Edit: I misread your statement a little, you are saying Host Defense contains little mycellium, well that's interesting. I would still like more data all around on this.

Literally all the human clinical research on lion's mane has used the fruiting bodies. All of it. There are animal and in vitro studies on mycelium. However, most of them use pure liquid cultured mycelium, NOT ground up myceliated rice. However, the actual human clinical research behind lion's mane uses fruiting bodies.
