Super Rhodiola?

I really like ashwagandha for general mood and anxiety so I was looking for something to stack with it on days where I need a bit more energy. I have heard rhodiola with a greater concentration of salidrosides works well. Super rhodiola is apparently just the active chemicals which leads me to believe that it works even better.
If you have experience with both rhodiola rosea and super rhodolia, please answer the following questions:
* 1 - what were the brands you used
* 2 - what were the effects, both positive and negative
* 3 - how long you used it for
* 4 - if and when the effects stopped working

Yes, that was the one that popped up when I researched. I haven't tried it or the plant extract. I just want to know which one would yield better results (aka is stronger). I'm not looking to use it daily like I do with the ashwagandha. Just a few times a week when I need that extra boost.

We renamed it Salidrosol, and moved it over to Natrium Health. Ceretropic is no more, unfortunately. We shut that down earlier this year. It's the same formula, though. We just renamed it for legal reasons.
The idea behind Salidrosol is that we target the two main stimulating compounds in rhodiola: salidroside and tyrosol. Salidroside is actually just a glucoside of tyrosol. You can see by looking at the structures. Salidroside stimulates glucose uptake into skeletal muscle, which is likely part of the stimulation people feel. It also activates transcription factor nuclear factor-erythroid 2 p45-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathways, which regulates glucose and oxygenation in cells.
Salidroside is found in most rhodiola species. However, only Rhodiola rosea contains rosavins. So if you were to take Rhodiola crenulata, that would be more like our Salidrosol product, since there are no rosavins in it. Rosavins are more sedating/anxiolytic than salidroside/tyrosol. So many people find that higher rosavin extracts are more calming, while higher salidroside extracts are more stimulating. Rosavins are actually cinnamyl alcohol glycosides, rather than a phenethyl alcohol like tyrosol. If you compare the structures of rosavin and tyrosol, you can see why tyrosol and its glycoside salidroside would be stimulating. That phenyl grouping is in a lot of stimulating molecules.
So I guess it depends on what you are looking for: stimulation, calming, or a mixture of the two?
