Follow-Up Thread: My Experience With Epitalon

I wanted to go ahead and post a thread for the continued discussion of multiple comment trees in the recently-archived "My Experience With Epitalon" thread started by /u/telomerotica.
A quick iteration of the topics still under discussion:
* Without doubt the most interesting detail from the original thread is telomerotica's use of a telomere length test conducted by the company Titanovo, which he had used to evaluate his undergoing 5 different cycles of different types of Epitalon. His results came back saying he had the telomeres of a 10-year-old.
* /u/Telomerotica has plans to get another, follow-up test from Titanovo in order to confirm the accuracy of their results. Link.
* /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb had Titanovo tests conducted on him and a few of his employees and is currently awaiting results. One of the employees smokes and the other does not, so it will be a very interesting comparison. Link.
Also, the thread…

Epitalon definitely has histaminergic effects. I posted a warning about enkephalinergics awhile back after having an extremely severe immune response to influenza after taking Epitalon that I believe actually caused joint damage I've only recently recovered from. As someone with a histamine disorder, I would strongly recommend you check my links in that thread. (Honestly, I don't know why it didn't get more attention--probably just bad timing to submit it.)
I looked back at one of the studies I found about enkephalin analogues and histamine and it had the interesting fact that the itching and inflammation weren't enhanced via normal inflammatory routes. The study was done in the 80's so perhaps there is a new contemporary understanding of the enkephalin/histamine relationship, but it's definitely one I can attest to, and I think you can, too.
I'd be very curious as to whether regular exercise promotes epigenetic changes in mast cells. I would imagine so. I've been working so hard to combat my Raynaud's that my vasculature is pretty ridiculous. Actually, though, I think that my Raynaud's is what allows me to achieve the kind of vaso-arbors I've grown in my extremities (the constriction characteristic of Raynaud's is counterbalanced by extreme dilation, as well--I'm basic…

That's definitely interesting. I've been so busy, I must have missed your post. I was even tagged in it! Haha
I have certainly experienced some histamine reactions to Semax and Selank. However, I attributed those to accidentally hitting a lymph node when injecting, causing a systemic responses. My issues with it largely went away after a couple months break, then a slow reintroduction. I suppose the enkephalin effects may have played a role as well. I am going to have to research some of it further. I think this mast cell reaction I am having to Epitalon/Thymalin is different than my previous reaction, though. This feels more like how my body responded when I first started having my histamine issues 15 or so years ago. I can't help but think my mast cells issues and telomere length are directly linked. It's going to be hard to determine an exact mechanism and cause, though.
