Concern about the peptide Epitalon. Too good to be true?

I am 19 and considering taking this. it slows down aging by a long shot, and there is quite a bit of research on it showing it drastically helping the elderly. My main concern is cancer.... one half claims it causes cancer, the other half claims it prevents it. Someone please give me a reason to take it, or a reason not to.
I am extremely interested in this peptide and really hope it works. what are all the drawbacks if there are any confirmed ones? (including speculations)
Anyone here take the stuff long term? what were the results?

I've spoken about it before.
Effect of the Synthetic Pineal Peptide Epitalon on Spontaneous Carcinogenesis in Female C3H/He Mice
Effect of Epitalon on biomarkers of aging, life span and spontaneous tumor incidence
The mechanisms of Epitalon are a lot more complex than just activating telomerase. It reduces lipid oxidation and ROS, along with normalizing T cell function. It seems to normalize cholesterol and uric acid, along with prolactin levels. So the increased length of telomeres is just a single part of it. I see no evidence that there is potential to unleash cancers, save for speculation. Again, it's a fairly unstudied peptide, and most of the studies we have are from Russia. So caution is always warranted.
