Synapsa Is Amazing but those GI Issues...Advice?

Original post in this thread

So I'll start off by saying Synapsa has been a great supplement for myself. I've used the Monnieri brand in the past and that came with depression and lethargy.

However, the Synapsa brand noticeable changes my mood, it makes me more calm and collected and I dosed 300mg for 2 weeks before stopping due to stomach pains. But they were horrible and out of the norm and my bowel movements were painful as well.

I stopped dosing but was wondering if there is anything I can do to offset. I know some users reported these issues but they went away but not for myself. Dosed at night, in the mornings, or even with food. Any help?

Edit: Started taking a probiotic called VSL3 and these issues are not happening anymore. Thanks everyone!!

Thank you for the insight!

I have heard that these mushrooms can increase BDNF levels. Is there a concern with BDNF overexpression if they are taken for an extended period? Can it cause TrkB downregulation?

No, there should be no worry about TrkB down-regulation. Lion's Mane more affects NGF, anyway.

This is part of the wholesale price list for "Nammex", the supplier of mushroom powders that many companies repackage/encapsulate and sell for a huge profit margin

Replying to eclecticlove1 · So where do you get the powder for the 8:1 dual phase extract?

We have our own suppliers, just like we do for all our ND branded products. They make it to our specifications. Then we test them in our lab for ID, content, beta-glucans, heavy metals, and now residual solvent residues.

Why the lion's mane you're buying is probably bunk.

First off, our Lion's Mane is not a traditional water extract. The water is used to break down the chitin in the cell walls, but the entire mushroom material is kept in. So you don't lose anything that you would with a f

Is ND done launching new products?

We are absolutely NOT done with new products. We are in the thick of development for a bunch of them. Some of them are just taking longer than expected to get perfect, so we have had a lull in releases. That's just becau
