NA-Selank-A spray smelling funky

I'm at the tail end of this spray bottle of NA-Selank-A and noticed it's starting to smell... a bit like poop. Just at first though. I only notice it for a flash and then it's gone. It has me weirded out so I tossed it. I hope this isn't a sign of an infection in the bottle... or is this a normal smell that I am only just now sensitive to?
