Fasoracetam discussion

Original post in this thread

Basically I wanted to spark an up to date discussion in fasoracetam as I am intrigued by the substance.

Hoping some people with some in depth understand of the substance can chime in (for example MisterYouAreSoDumb) but I do not know how to tag him.
Second I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to what the effects of taking phenibut and fasoracetam together would be. From what I have read it seems like faso isn't a GABA B Antagonist and upregulates those receptors via some other moa. So taking the two together would (at the very least) theoretically prevent tolerance build up/ desensitization??
Anyone feel free to comment with your experience/understanding of the substance

I would take breaks and use Fasoracetam. I'd also eat right, get good sleep, exercise, and meditate. All those drastically improves your body's response to tolerance.

Tolerance is the concept of diminishing effects to a certain compound. The mechanism behind tolerance varies by the compound. Tolerance to Phenibut is mostly dealing with GABAb receptor expression. However, there are other downstream mechanisms that are probably involved as well. We still do not fully understand tolerance as a whole. I have a feeling that immediate early gene expression comes into play.

Fasoracetam

Replying to vapefker · > It is NOT directly binding to GABAb, and is not a GABAb antagonist like many state. Thanks for pointing this out, as many people falsely claim it to be. One would assume a GABAb

Fasoracetam does up-regulate GABAb. So it can help with that side of Phenibut tolerance. However, Phenibut also stimulates dopamine receptors and antagonizes β-phenethylamine. So it will not affect those tolerance levels
