I did with IRC.bio, to help them figure out their MK-677 issue. I don't with 3rd party labs, because if they kludged together misleading methods before, I don't trust them. Also, these 3rd party labs will not share their

We still have not paid for the 7,8-DHF methods yet. All we are going off of is an FTIR comparison to Sigma Aldrich's reference standard, which all supply so far has not matched; including the what is currently being sold

Yes, I have considered that. The issue is properly purifying it. If it is just ethyl acetate, then it is not a big deal to fix. However, there is another impurity we have yet to figure out.

The IRC stuff we tested was 3% ethyl acetate and 3% something else. I do not know the second impurity yet. Our other batches were some solvent with a carboxyl group. Based on the synthesis, I thought it was benzyl chloro

We do not have an NMR, unfortunately. We have an HPLC and FTIR. Dimethylformamide could be it as well. That is used in one of the synthesis methods I am seeing. Here is the paper where I am seeing the synthesis method

We get it as the mesylate salt. Isobutyric acid could be it as well. I'd need some different equipment to really say for sure.
