Quite a few people here are using them for their magnesium glycinate which ranked quite highly on labdoor. Might be worth watching this space to see if their formulations change.

Could it be evaporated off? Like say 20 mins in the oven at 175F? The acetone smell is much reduced if not gone and I noticed the powder kind of clumped up and got hard. What do you think?

The ethyl acetate could be evaporated off, sure. Usually that would be done in a vacuum desiccator or vacuum oven. However, the other impurity I am not sure of. Even if you evaporated all the ethyl acetate, you are still left with another 3% impurity. Without knowing exactly what it is, I cannot say if it can be removed.
