Quite a few people here are using them for their magnesium glycinate which ranked quite highly on labdoor. Might be worth watching this space to see if their formulations change.

What do you make of this result that says for a 70kg man, 63mg/day of ethyl acetate is non-toxic.

Let me know if this is correct: if a standard dose of mk-677 is 25mg and 3% of that is ethyl acetate then you get ~.75mg per dose. So it seems fairly low.

Before I answer, let me just say the following statement in the assessment made me laugh:
Six weeks after the initial dosing, 10 rats/sex were subjected to interim sacrifice while the remaining rats continued on the dosing regimen until the final sacrifice (90 days).
It sounds so metal calling it a final sacrifice! Haha
Where I got my info was this from the CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/81-123/pdfs/0260.pdf
That has to do with workplace exposure to ethyl acetate. The 4,450ppm exposure statement was in regard to rabbits, and it did not specify ROA. So they may be speaking about inhaling it, which seems to be much more toxic than oral.
Truthfully, I don't think ethyl acetate residue is all that dangerous in MK-677. I'll keep rejecting batches with it, unless I can reliably get rid of it via evaporation. However, I am not crazy worried about it. I was more worried about the different solvent residue we were seeing in other batches. Also, we are still left with another 3% impurity once we get rid of all the ethyl acetate. Until I can figure out exactly what that is, it is better to err on the side of caution. It could be harmless, or it could be toxic. We just don't know yet. We just do not accept any batches that are not over 99% purity, as a matter of our internal standards. That might be overkill on some things, but I would rather not sell something than risk issues.
