What exactly are Semax and Selank? What is their MOA for layman nootropic users?

And for a specific question, could they potentially protect opioid receptors from the long-term therapeutic use of Tianeptine?

0.1mg is pretty much the lower dose that nobody uses. Regular doses are usually around a mg. Besides that, semax is an OTC medicine in Russia, if it had opioid action I'd think it would be documented. Besides that, some users who have reported megadoses of semax haven't mentioned any particularly relevant subjective effect. I have not felt such effect either.

Actually, you would be surprised at the number of people that prefer lower dosages like 100mcg. I personally use higher, but a lot of people find that does to be too much.
My 24mg dose of Semax a while back led to a good mood boost, but nothing like an opioid. However, I would describe it similar to the feeling after a good workout, with higher endorphin levels. I have no doubt the enkephalinase activity is relevant at human dosages. Also, I have had many reports of people saying both Selank and Semax have interacted with other opioids they were on.
