Hi /r/nootropics.
My name's Lincoln Cannon, and I'm CEO at Thrivous. Thrivous is a brand new nootropic vendor. Sales of our first product, Clarity, began less than a month ago. And we're excited to share it with you. Of course I don't have to ask for it here, but please know I welcome your questions and feedback, both positive and negative.
Like many of you, I've been using nootropics for years. Most of the time, I've purchased individual ingredients to facilitate experimentation, and to avoid the high prices and secret formulas of premade stacks.
Over the years, when friends have learned that I use nootropics, they've often asked for recommendations. I tend to be conservative in matters of health, particularly when making recommendations to others, so I would generally direct them to natural supplements with the best supporting research for nootropic effect.
Several months ago, inspired by all the nootropic bottles next to my sink, my wife and I had a conversation about the [sorry state of affairs among premade stacks](https://thrivous.com/blogs/views/97432769…

Hi MisterYouAreSoDumb. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback, and for your patience as I've worked with my manufacturer to gather and validate more information.
Thrivous seeks to cultivate trust, with its customers, with its partners, and with the public generally. One of the ways we're doing that is by publicly sharing information about our products that very few of our competitors are willing to share publicly about their products. In fact, the amount of information we're willing to share publicly has shocked some veterans of the dietary supplement industry. One commented to me that "very unusual" would be under-stating just how unusual Thrivous actually is. Of course this is a competitive risk for Thrivous (one that we're more than willing to take), but it's also a privacy and competitive risk for some of our partners.
So to maintain trustworthy relationships with Thrivous' partners, as well as with our customers and the public generally, I try to proceed with sensitivity to the whole spectrum of needs and interests. Hopefully what I'm doing here reflects that sensitivity, and I hope you'll interpret me accordingly, rather than as trying to obfuscate. In that, I'll appeal to your sense of normalcy for the dietary supplement industry in contrast to my behavior here. Surely, if Thrivous were more concerned about hiding than sharing, we would not have introduced ourselve…

I hope you understand that I am not accusing you of anything nefarious. I am simply stating how this whole situation looks, mentioning the inappropriate methods used in testing of the natural extracts, and the mislabeling of a couple ingredients. You seem like someone that wants to be known as a trustworthy vendor in the community. So I wanted to make you aware of the issues preventing you from being that. Perhaps most of this is just an oversight from the various people involved. However, they are oversights that I think should be rectified ASAP, as right now there is no way for me to conclusively say whether or not the ingredients in your product are in fact what they claim to be, and neither can you; given the analysis presented. The state of the supplement industry at the moment is in a pretty bad place, and I agree that most vendors would not release the information I am requesting. That is why those vendors will continue to lose market share to those that do. People want to know that the companies they buy from are doing everything in their power to ensure the safety and accuracy of the ingredients, and are openly and honestly communicating with their customers. Above and beyond the status quo may still fall short of what the status quo will be in a few short years.
Sorry for the wall of text. Hopefully this information helps you to figure out how to improve.
