Citicoline more active than GPC Choline?

I've read that Choline gives you a more active focus then GPC Choline. I don't mean the intensity of focus, but the energy. And when I saw Citicholine on a pre-workout supplement (along with Yohimbine HCL) I got to wonder if it is more effective for a pre-workout supplement and focus.

This means that in a physical workout citicoline is superior to GPC Choline?

No, not necessarily. GPC increase GH, LH, and TSH too. Citicoline is easier to work with, though. Alpha-GPC is very hydroscopic, and becomes a gel very easily. So many people use Citicoline instead, because it is more stable.
It really comes down to brain chemistry which one works better. I personally react better to GPC. However, I've spoken to people that prefer CDP. It just depends.
