Title. By legal I mean non-prescription. Real ephedrine is available anywhere in Canada. EC taken daily costs between 25cents to 50cents, where as something like modafinil is much, much more expensive. Thoughts?

Looks like the Memchems website is gutted. They may have just been a scam selling impure d-2-FMA and counting on placebo to back their legitimacy.
From what I understand, amphetamines are relatively easy to enantiomerically purify in comparison with some other chemicals. I don't recall why in the slightest, though, I just know that there are plenty of chiral molecules that are much harder to separate into their enantiomers.
I actually considered finding some 2-FMA, but my Dionysian got the better of me and I got ETH-LAD instead :P Honestly, Vyvance is basically perfect for me and I still avoid it because it exacerbates my health issues. Not that psychedelics don't, too, but they aren't habit-forming and can confer long-term benefits.

Well amphetamine is easy to make enantiopure, because the enantiopure precursors are easy to come by. I have not looked at the synthesis methods for the fluoridated analogs, to see what precursors they use. They might be easier than some.
