What is your experience with various brands? I am currently taking the Host Defense brand, but I can't say I feel any benefits. I have tried various dosages: 1 gram, 2 grams, and even 3 grams (which is not sustainable due to cost). I would like to try another brand; I would love some recommendations for quality extracts.

it's going to difficult to pick and choose from the array of different Hericenones and Erinacines ... you would need years of research - wouldn't you?

For a full understanding, yes. However, the mycologist we are working with said that he has some good data to pour through. So I am sure we can get a very effective extract. It might be a mixture of extracts from both fruiting bodies and mycelium.
For now, we are going to bring out 1:1 water extract, which just break down the cell walls to allow the compounds to be bioavailable. Then taking the whole mushroom mass and drying it. So it will be the whole spectrum of mushroom, but with improved bioavailability. The studies on Lion's Mane were using whole mushroom anyway. So doing the 1:1 will make it so we don't lose anything good. Then we can work on the more potent extracts after that.
