Diy nasal spray questions

I see that Ceretropic uses deionized water as the medium in their nasal spray. However from what I've read, saline solution seems to be the most prevalent choice for diy nasal sprays with no mention of DI water. Can some one please clarify the difference as to which would be most appropriate for making nasal sprays.

Few other related questions:

Is saline solution not suitable for peptides?

Does saline have antibacterial properties that DI water does not?

Would the salt in saline solution effect the maximum solution concentration I could achieve vs DI water.

Sorry for my lack of chemistry knowledge & thanks in advance for any clarification/answers. Also posting in r/nootropics.

It works fine. It can just burn a bit, due to the benzyl alcohol. Nothing bad, though.
